As Thanksgiving approaches we want to wish you a happy and safe Thanksgiving. We know your traditional Thanksgiving plans might look a little different this year due to COVID-19. We hope you and your family have a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday!
Whether you’re traveling to see family and friends, hosting a lunch/dinner at your place, or keeping it more low key this year, remember to check your township’s website for COVID-19 safety updates and regulations.
There are many ways you can ensure your Thanksgiving is a safe one this year. Here is a list of tips from the CDC to help ensure this Thanksgiving is a safe one.
- Wear your mask. Remember to wear a mask with two or more layers, and make sure it properly fits, covering your nose & mouth.
- Remain 6 feet apart. Not everyone who has COVID-19 shows symptoms, so if you plan to host friends and family at your home with people coming in and out who don’t live with you, remember to stay 6 ft apart when possible.
- Wash your hands. Make sure you have soap ready and available throughout your home and keep hand sanitizer available as well. When purchasing hand sanitizer make sure it contains at least 60% alcohol.
- Travel. Be sure to check airline restrictions before you leave, always wear your mask in a public setting, stay 6 ft apart at all times, and wash your hands frequently.
